When my wife asks me where I want to go out for lunch/dinner/drinks this weekend, I am going to have a hard time answering something other than Applebee’s.
Why, you might be asking? Well, after reading their QR Code success story on Mobile Commerce Daily, I certainly want to give them some business 🙂
Here are a few highlights from the story:
- They used QR codes on tabletops to promote its quick lunchtime service
- The mobile/print initiative was part of a multichannel campaign
- They considered their audience — where they would be, what they would be doing (sitting at a table & most likely looking at their phones!) — before adding QR Codes
- They have credited this effort with boosting lunch sales by 9.8 percent
