Birthdays are a time when friends and family gather around a cake and sing Happy Birthday. But what if the cake sang it for you just by scanning a QR Code?
Thanks to Smarta.com for putting together this excellent article. The article is about a bakery that has started placing QR Codes in the corner of their cakes to have a special message play when the QR Code is scanned.
“Family members or friends can record a video message singing ‘Happy Birthday’ on their mobile phone or web-cam and upload it to YouTube. They then go onto CakesNextDay.com and include the URL of the video when they place their order. When the cake is delivered, the recipient can scan the QR code with their phone to see the video message.”
