QR Codes: How to Read Them

At first glance, a QR Code might not be the prettiest thing that you’ve ever seen. However, once you realize all of the information that they can hold, and how it can connect people instantly across channels, QR Codes certainly become more beautiful.

WebCam

During a recent webinar  on QR Codes, the question was asked to us: Rather than viewing the website on my mobile phone, is there anyway for me to utilize the QR Code and view the website on my computer monitor?

……if you have a WebCam on your computer, and install QR Code reading software, you can scan in QR Codes. The codes may be on pieces of your mail or other printed collateral that you have.

Right from your desk, you’ll be directed instantly to the website, and able to view it on your monitor.

Barcode Scanners

When many people picture barcode scanners, they may think of the person behind the cash register scanning in products or coupons. Or they may think of the person in a warehouse moving inventory items.

Well, some of those same barcode scanners can also read 2-D barcodes, such as QR Codes.

Thus, if your scanner can connect to the web, you’d be able to utilize QR Codes from that device as well.
