Would you like fries with that? Would you like the veal or the chicken? Grilled fish or fried?
To answer those questions, we typically check a couple of things before making our decision. Primarily, we may check our wallet and our waist-line.
Well, we may now also check one more thing before making our decision — a QR Code.
Yes, one application for QR Codes certainly would be on restaurant menus.
There is quite a bit of information that could potentially be included in a menu:
- The name of the item
- The description
- A picture
- The price
- The nutritional information
- A suggested beverage that could enhance that food selection
But the bottom line is, you cannot always fit everything onto the printed menu. Thus, QR Codes could help connect people to that information when they need it… And thus you will still be providing all of the compelling facts and figures that could help convince someone to make a purchase.
In The Digital Nirvana today, Heidi Tolliver-Nigro mentioned the QR Code/menu application as well. Check out the article here.
