There are many reasons why businesses may want to use QR Codes today. Not only can they make printed materials interactive, but they can serve as an effective tool for engaging the growing mobile audience.
However, for QR Codes to truly succeed as a component inside of a marketing effort, they must offer value to both the target audience and the business.
There is a great example of this happening in Toronto, Canada. If you have a moment, watch the video below to see what Well.ca is doing.
Well.ca is Canada’s largest online health, beauty, and baby products store. In an effort to reach offline consumers (but yet ones that are always a “click away” thanks to their smartphone), they built a virtual storefront inside of a downtown Toronto subway.
Consumers can not only browse through some of Well.ca’s popular products, but they can also easily order them by scanning the QR Code next to each item.
Here’s hoping that this endeavor by Well.ca turns out to be a big success… for both the consumer and the retailer!
