Over the past few years, we’ve seen a number of brands and products jump into the mobile payments game.
Starbucks has had quite a bit of success by launching its own App. Other brands have partnered with Apps such as LevelUp to accept payments from the mobile audience.
Recently, we learned of a major company that has chosen to try out the route that Starbucks has taken.
Burger King has launched an App that will enable people to pay for their food with their smartphones.
The App presents a unique QR Code for each user. Customers can simply present the QR Code at the register during check-out time to complete their purchase.
Burger King is currently testing this out in the Salt Lake City area.
Here’s hoping that it’s a success, and that the popularity and number of brands using mobile payments continues to increase!
