The Facebook “Like” button has certainly become a part of the the way we interact with friends and our favorite brands.

People love to click it on Facebook. In fact, they now want an equivalent in other medias. I have seen multiple emails over the past couple weeks where one of the recipients replied, “I wish there was a ‘Like’ button for this email!”

Companies want people to “Like” the content that they post on Facebook. It can greatly increase awareness of a brand and boost it’s reputation in a positive light.

One way to integrate social media with QR Codes would be to create a QR Code that points to a Facebook “Like” button.

Here’s how I just did this with our QReate & Track application:

Step 1: In QReate & Track, I entered this URL: http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http://facebook.com/interlinkONE

Then, I hit the “Get Your Code” button.

Step 2: DONE! The system created the code for me, and I saved it to my desktop. I can now place this hi-res image on our printed materials — perhaps a sign, poster, advertisement, direct mail piece, and more.

Below is the QR Code that was produced. Feel free to scan it, and “Like” interlinkONE on Facebook. (We’d greatly appreciate it!)

Would you like to do this too?

If you would like to create a QR Code that points to a Like button on Facebook for your company, it can be just as easy.

When creating the URL, simply replace “http://Facebook.com/interlinkONE” with your Facebook URL. For example, if your Facebook page was http://Facebook.com/Johnfoley, you would enter this URL before hitting “Get Your Code”:

http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http://facebook.com/Johnfoley

I hope this helps!  If you do have any questions, or run into any trouble, please let us know.
